Powerful Natural Medicine for Kids

Moms and even dads are becoming ever more vigilant when it comes to their children’s healthcare. For decades we have put our trust in big pharmaceutical companies to provide us safe methods to help us mange the health of the little ones we have been given. But as we look back on history and right up to our present day we don’t see healthier kids, why is that? Sure, we don’t see illnesses like Smallpox anymore, but we see new health challenges exploding on to the scene. Autism is just beyond my comprehension. Something we never heard of when I was a young mom is now a common word and nearly everyone has a friend with at least 1 autistic child if you don’t have one yourself. The numbers are skyrocketing every year!

There are children with ADD, ADHD, low muscle tone, failure to thrive, born with digestive issues, allergies, rashes? What is this? Something is way off and modern medicine has nothing really to offer except to try another prescription medication with comes with a whole new set of complicated side effects. These medications often leave children depressed, lethargic and just not themselves. There has to be another way to do this. That is why I want to share some ideas with you, powerful natural medicine for kids.

You may or may not realize that most prescription medications either start as a concept or are actually derived from plant material. Plants are nature’s original medicine. Today science tries to mimic the healing powers of plants instead of using the plant itself. Why, because it much more cost-effective, bringing in greater profits.

The complexity of a plant is something that can not be copied to be equal to the original which is perfect. There are 100s of compounds that work perfectly together. When science tries to extract a singular compound and combine it with other man-made fillers, they create something that sort of works, may ease a symptom, but ALWAYS has a ginormous list of side effects which often include the possibility of death?!

Healthcare is a booming business. I am not saying here that there is not a place for a visit to the Dr. but there is a lot we as moms we can do to manage the health of our kids without reaching for a drug to reduce fever or running to the Dr. for an antibiotic. There is so much you can do before that, potentially preventing the need for costly medical services & dangerous drugs.

Here are some suggestions for several of the lessor ailments that tend to afflict children. Always be certain of your essential oil source, especially is this important when using them on children. That is why I can only recommend essential oils that have been certified pure and are for therapeutic use.

allergiesAllergies: 1 drop each of Lavender, Peppermint & Lemon on the bottoms of the feet, morning and night.

asthmaAsthma: This works great for older kids….Place a singular drop of Breathe into the palm of the hand. Make a loose fist with that hand and bring it up to the mouth. Inhale deeply into the lungs several times, doing this 2-3 times a day or as needed. For children who are unable to do this, dilute a drop of Breathe with a TBL of quality carrier oil and apply to chest and back.

Bladder Infection or UTI: For older kids the OnGuard beadlets are perfect. Just one beadlet swallowed whole or if they want to bite it will almost immediately help. Do several times a day until discomfort is alleviated.

Bronchitis: Combine a drop of Breathe, Eucalyptus & Lavender into about a TBL of carrier oil and apply a drop or two of mixture to the chest and back.

Burns (Minor): Apply Lavender directly to burn location as quickly as possible.

Impetigo: Dilute 2-3 drops of OnGuard with a TBL of coconut oil. Apply to affected area 3 to 4 times a day until infection is clear. Be sure to wash hands with OnGuard hand soap or a water and OnGuard dilution in spray bottle because Impetigo is extremely contagious.

tantrum1Temper Tantrum: Apply 1-2 drops of Balance and Lavender or Serenity diluted with coconut oil to the bottoms of the feet.

For children and infants it is best to start by diluting the oils to check for any skin sensitivity.

As parents there is so much that we can do to care for our families. It may take a little more vigilance and time, but the end result is so worth while.

I think perhaps we need to embrace the use of the aromatagram, [Dr Jean Valnet (France)] invented a test for ANY medicine (usually a selection of essences) incubated along with the pathogen – could be engaged to fight any microbial-based illness. The doctor would not even have to know which as best; the test itself shows the essences that would work the best. A formulation of all 3 together formed the prescription. Some kinda smart!
